Conferred with National Youth Inspiration Award 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi
New Delhi: Dr. Shibendra Kumar, an eminent educator and researcher known for his impactful contributions in the field of education and social research, was conferred with the prestigious National Youth Inspiration Award 2026 on 27 February 2026 at the iconic Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The award recognizes his sustained efforts toward academic excellence, research-driven inquiry, and youth empowerment.
The ceremony was organized by Bharti Yuva Welfare Association and witnessed the gracious presence of distinguished personalities from across the country. Among the notable attendees were former National Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party Shyam Jaju, Member of Parliament Babu Ram Nishad, Delhi MLA Pravesh Ratn, Uttar Pradesh MLA Shyam Dhani Rahi, BJP National Co-Incharge (Research & Policy) Vinay Chaudhary, and Justice Lokpal Singh, among other dignitaries. Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of research-oriented education and acknowledged Dr. Kumar’s commitment to fostering intellectual growth among youth.
Dr. Kumar has been actively engaged in teaching work in govt. School and research for several years. He views education not merely as a means to obtain degrees but as a transformative force capable of driving meaningful social change. His primary research focus has been on migration patterns in Bihar, where he has extensively examined the socio-economic dimensions of labour migration, its impact on rural communities, and related policy challenges. His scholarly work highlights migration as not just an economic phenomenon but a deeply interconnected social process influencing family structures, local economies, and regional development.
Having qualified the UGC-NET examination, Dr. Kumar’s doctoral thesis is available on Shodhganga, reflecting the academic credibility and relevance of his research. He has authored over 15 research papers published in reputed national and international journals, addressing themes such as migration studies, rural development, education policy, social structures, and youth empowerment. In addition, he has presented his research at more than 35 national and international seminars, conferences, and academic forums.
Beyond his research publications, Dr. Kumar has actively participated in various Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), workshops, and academic training initiatives. He strongly believes in continuous professional development for educators, particularly in light of evolving educational policies, digital pedagogy, and research methodologies. His academic engagements have significantly benefited students and fellow educators alike.
Recognized not only as a scholar but also as a socially conscious thinker, Dr. Kumar has consistently promoted awareness on issues related to education, youth migration, rural challenges, and social responsibility. His initiatives have inspired many students to pursue higher education, competitive examinations, and research-oriented careers.
