Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has addressed the recent claims made by veteran Pakistani actor Javed Sheikh, who alleged that Hashmi was rude to him on the sets of their 2008 film Jannat. Responding to the statement, Hashmi clarified that while they worked together professionally, they were never friends, and there was no personal bond between them.

Javed Sheikh’s Allegations

During a recent interview, Javed Sheikh revealed that Emraan Hashmi's behavior towards him on set was cold and dismissive. Sheikh stated that despite being a senior actor, he did not receive the warmth or respect he expected from Hashmi, which left him feeling disappointed.

Emraan Hashmi’s Response

When asked about the allegations, Hashmi responded:

"I don’t even know what he’s talking about. We were never friends. We worked together on Jannat, but beyond that, we had no personal connection. I wasn’t rude—I was just doing my job."

The actor further mentioned that he prefers to keep his professional and personal lives separate, which might have been misinterpreted as aloofness.

Industry Reactions & Fan Reactions

The controversy has sparked a debate among fans and industry insiders. Some support Hashmi, stating that actors are not obligated to form personal friendships on set, while others believe that mutual respect and camaraderie are essential in the film industry.

Despite the claims, Emraan Hashmi remains focused on his upcoming projects and has chosen not to engage further in the controversy.

What are your thoughts on this issue? Do actors owe their co-stars a certain level of warmth off-screen, or is professionalism enough? Let us know!
